SHOWTIME
Drop The Spoon helped create the universe of Showtime, Holiday on Ice 75th show and jubilee edition.
It was a great honor to help the director, Kim Gavin, and the whole Holiday on Ice team to bring their ambitious vision to live, and to make that anniversary edition unique and spectacular.
To mark the occasion, Misty Buckley’s grandiose scenography allowed us to play with an large LED screen in the background, beautifully framed by scenic elements mimicking an old warehouse structure. But also with an breathtaking LED train coming in the centre of the ice, and an hologauze to create the back in time travel at the beginning of the show.
The end result shows that even at 75 years, Holiday on Ice stays a modern and breathtaking spectacular for the whole familly.

Just before the grand finale, a shadow play short film tells the end of the story to the public.
We shot it live on ice with the real skaters under Kim Gavin’s direction.
